Warm-up AND feel Vibrant with this Ginger-Lime Tea…
Does getting snowed-in make you think about hot chocolate but you’re trying to cut back on sugar? This winter-warm up ginger tea may quiet that sugar craving, and keep you warm…
Ginger- Lime Tea
- 2- 4 pieces of ginger (about 1 inch long and thin, but not paper thin)
- 1/4 lime (squeeze in the juice and then toss in the rind)
- Add 12 ounces of boiling water.
- For some added zip, shake in a little cayenne pepper (optional)
Add all the ingredients into your mug, or if you have a glass tea-pitcher add all the ingredients into the picture. Pour the hot water on top. Let it steep for 5-10 minutes. Enjoy!!!
Little love note from Simona to my sugar-loving readers
If you have a strong association with drinking hot-chocolate during the cold snowy days of winter, I totally get it! If you are up for it, give this a try…. go back and think about all the amazing memories you have of drinking hot chocolate and notice if you can enjoy those memories without actually drinking the hot chocolate. Sometimes our memories get tied to the action of eating or drinking something — but if we deliberately aim to notice the memories, we can enjoy them ANY time we want to call them forward.
And then… we get to think about the memories while we enjoy a nice warm alternative. We can fuel ourselves with the MEMORIES and with the FUELING warm tea… and come away feeling even more vibrant and full of vitality.
