What is SIBO?
SIBO, S-I-B-O stands for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Among other things, SIBO can impact the body’s ability to absorb nutrients from food. Unfortunately, killing off organisms that are happily living in your small intestines can be hard on the body. I know that from first hand experience.
In this video, I demonstrate two energy routines that can complement your western medicine SIBO protocol:
My Own SIBO Diagnosis and Protocol
In this article, I am going to share a little bit about my own SIBO diagnosis and protocol and then I’ll demonstrate 2 energy routines that can complement your western medicine protocol as you fight off those unwanted organisms on your path back to optimal health.
Earlier this year, my doctor, Dr. Justin Marchegiani from JustIn Health.com, oversaw the testing that diagnosed my SIBO and then he designed a personalized supplement protocol based on my test results.
Feeling Wiped Out from SIBO
I was imagining that I’d send in the supplements like professional negotiators and the unwelcome bacteria would go quietly on their merry way. But apparently, they were not willing to leave without a fight. As much as I amused myself with images of teeny, tiny soldiers battling it out in my small intestines, I couldn’t deny that the protocol was leaving me wiped out at the end of every day.
Why was their battle wiping me out?
When we kill off those unwanted organisms, they release toxins into our system which our bodies then need to clear out.
In the long run, taking care of the SIBO is obviously beneficial to our health, but in the short-term, being wiped out is not that convenient. Sleep is certainly an ally in the fight, but like most people, I don’t have time to sleep 9 to 10 hours a day. I spoke to Dr. Justin about what I was experiencing, and he gave me some options… what I decided to do was complement the protocol with energy routines.
Why Complement the SIBO Protocol?
If you’ve heard the terms chakras or meridians or chi, then you’ve heard of energy routines.
When you picture the old kung fu masters doing this move
what they are doing is moving the energy along their central meridian to protect themselves and disarm their enemy as they prepare to fight.
While that central meridian move works well in Kung Fu fighting, since SIBO impacts the small intestines, I needed a different routine to aid in my battle.
I experimented with different energy routines and found the following 2 routines to be really helpful. If you are feeling anything like I was, then you may find it worthwhile to give these a try…
Routine #1: Neurolymphatic Massage
This first routine works with your lymphatic system.
Since the supplement protocol helps our bodies kill off those unwanted bacteria, we are releasing toxins into our bodies.
To support my body in flushing those toxins faster, I found it helpful to massage my small intestine neurolymphatic reflex points which are on both legs in the lower inner thigh, and under the rib cage. watch the video for more details
Once you do this massage, you’ll also want to drink some water to help flush the released toxins out of your system.
Routine #2: Small Intestine Meridian
Your small intestine meridian runs from your pinkie to your ear, which I demonstrate in the video here.
- What you’ll want to do for this routine is first trace the meridian backwards one time… and shake off your hands. Donna Eden, who is a pioneer in energy medicine, calls this move “flushing the meridian”.
- Then trace it in the correct direction 3 times
- Then repeat that on the other side.
