I recently came across this blog post, and it made me laugh out loud.
It is funny to read about yourself from someone else’s perspective.
“Networking with Simona Hadjigeorgalis isn’t some breezy chat over coffee. Simona makes you work for it.
To be fair, I’m not sure either of us realized we were going to be networking. I met up with Simona one unseasonably warm but drizzly day in December, the week after I had been laid off. My goal was…commiseration, maybe? But, like most life lessons, her wisdom ambushed me when I expected it least…and needed it most.”
Karen shares the story of our walk and talk and the lessons she gleaned. What can you learn from this?
For me there were two lessons:
1) This is a good reminder that we can have a positive impact on others, even if we don’t know them that well, and even if we only go for one walk around the park with them. Today, Karen has a job she loves, and last I saw on Facebook, she is really happy with her level of fitness and overall wellness. (if you read her article, you’ll understand why those two things matter).
2) There are often parallels that can be drawn between what is going on in our lives and the way we take care of our precious human vehicles. Be mindful of those parallels and be good to yourselves!!!
Wishes for abundant wellness,
