Why are Apple Roses trending and is it worth the time?
Like most busy women, I have to weigh projects like baking apple rose tarts based on their Return on Time Investment.
My Conclusion: depending on your objective, baking apple roses are worth the time it takes.
Why it’s worth the time?
- They turn out beautifully
- You don’t have to be a terrific baker to have success with the recipe
- They taste delicious
- They are plentiful, so one is very filling to eat… which means they are also fun to give away and share the joy
- It’s a fun project for two people, which for me meant getting to spend time with my daughter
What’s your objective?
Apple rose tarts take time to make. According to the recipe we were following, which we found on YouTube from Cooking with Manuela , this recipe is only supposed to take 20 minutes to prepare and 45 minutes to bake. I have to assume that 20 minute time estimate is for seasoned bakers. And certainly that 20 minutes does not include time to clean up the kitchen. My recommendation: budget 2 hours for this project end-to-end from prep to the kitchen being clean and the apple roses being beautiful and ready to serve.
Depending on what your objective is, the time investment is worth it.
